Sähkösoittimen ääniä #1 belongs to the series of experimental pieces recorded by Erkki Kurenniemi in late 1960s and early 1970s. In the 1990s, despite the poor availability of his released recordings, Kurenniemi’s music became an important source of inspiration for some Finnish electronic and experimental artists, especially such figures as Mika Vainio and Ilpo Väisänen.
